The Preserve Iowa Summit on August 22 – 24, 2013 in Burlington Iowa combines the efforts of the Iowa Downtown Summit, Statewide Historic Preservation Conference and Preservation Iowa Awards Dinner.
The Summit includes 30 education sessions with topics ranging from preservation and placemaking to partnerships and planning. The presentation of the “Preservation at its Best” and “Preservation Projects of Merit” awards feature success stories. The conference also includes six educational tours, an exhibit hall and networking activities.
Historic preservation and commercial district development experts from Iowa and across the United States share best practices and offer valuable insight, advice and training.
The Summit is a coordinated effort of the Iowa Economic Development Authority’s Iowa Downtown Resource Center, Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs’ State Historic Preservation Office and Preservation Iowa.
