This is a competitive offering By The City Of Prairie City To Convey To A Developer Title To The Property By Quit Claim Deed to rehabilitate a residential structure house. The house is located at 200 W. McMurray Street, Prairie City, Iowa.
On April 9, 2013 the City Council of Prairie City, Iowa took action directing staff to send a request for proposal (RFP) to developers for the sale of a vacant house at 200 W. McMurray Street, Prairie City, Iowa. The City Council will sell the subject property to the successful developer to acquire the structure by quit claim deed to rehabilitate for owner-occupied or rental housing. The City owns 200 W. McMurray Street which will be sold to a developer who may be able to acquire the property for rehabilitation.
If you have an interest in acquiring and rehabilitating 200 W. McMurray Street you must submit the information contained in the RFP Threshold Submittals for the Developer.
This structure is currently owned by the City. Parties who are interested in viewing the house are encouraged to set up a time with the Prairie City City Administrator. All parties will be required to sign a liability waiver before touring the home. Under the provision of the law, a house acquired through this process cannot be demolished once ownership is taken.
