Dubuque Main Street, in collaboration with many local businesses and organizations, will celebrate the 10th annual Architecture Days on April 11-16, 2016, with tours and events that will feature historic financial institutions.
The mission of Architecture Days is to heighten the recognition of architecture as an art form and to explore the rich architectural landscape of Dubuque through programming for all ages. Architecture Days offers the community the opportunity to learn more about architecture and Dubuque history, celebrating our sense of place, our historic treasures, and the city’s growth through commitment to architectural re-use.
Events will include walking tours, informational speakers, a scavenger hunt, and local art. The City of Dubuque’s Historic Preservation Commission will present their 14th annual annual Ken Kringle Historic Preservation Awards in conjunction with the Dubuque County Historical Society’s annual preservation awards during the evening seminar and award ceremony on April 12.
