Main Street Iowa, after a two and a half month process has a new Main Street state coordinator! Michael Wagler began his transition from Main Street Iowa design specialist to state coordinator the first of May.
Michael has officially been on the downtown resource center team since 2006 serving as a design specialist. While Michael was in College and Grad School, earning a degree in historic preservation and a Masters in Community & Regional Planning, he spent the better part of four years as a design intern and assistant with Main Street Iowa. Michael’s Main Street roots go back fourteen years to when, as a high school student, he interned and volunteered with Bloomfield’s Main Street program working in the trenches with the Main Street director, the board, and committees. Michael is a member of the next generation of Main Street leaders, with a unique opportunity to lead Main Street Iowa, to maintain quality services, to adapt and embrace change to achieve goals and take the program to exciting new levels, while being grounded in his decade long experiences with Main Street Iowa to carry forward consistent leadership for the next twenty-five years.
We are so proud of our Past Board Member and current Advisor! Please join us in congratulating Michael!
