Preserve Iowa Summit: Mining the Past

Registration for the Preserve Iowa Summit in Fort Dodge is now open! The website has information about the sessions planned, speakers’ biographies, hotels, and a place to register.
Registration for our preservation partners, which includes current members of Preservation Iowa is only $55. Register today as this rate is only good until May 11. After May 11, the rate goes up to $155.
If you’re not already a member of Preservation Iowa, consider becoming one.
On Friday evening there will a special opportunity to have dinner and see a screening of the new documentary The Barn Raisers.
On Saturday, there will be special workshops on Iowa’s agricultural history and cemetery gravestone restoration.
Plus, as always opportunities to network with fellow Iowa preservationists! A special reception on Thursday night at the Blanden Art Museum is included in your $55 registration. If you arrive early, please come to the pre-Summit gathering on Wed. evening.
The Summit is coordinated by the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs’ State Historic Preservation Office, the City of Fort Dodge, the Fort Dodge Historic Preservation Commission and Preservation Iowa. It is funded in part with federal funds from the national Park Service, a division of the U.S. Department of the Interior.
